>>83078158What I'd like to see shown in a second movie is more dealings with the "size" issue. Especially the little rodents.
Note the mouse-sized apartment behind Nick here:
>>83077030There's got to be rodents scattered all over Zootopia, not just in the Little Rodentia neighborhood. Probably more than any of the larger residents realize. Bellwether had it wrong when she said prey outnumbered preds 10:1. If you include all the little rodents, it's probably more like 1,000:1.
The question is, how do all these rodents manage to make a living in Zootopia without being stepped on or wiped out by exterminators? My theory is they're holding the city hostage. The little bastards can get into any place, no matter how secure, and into all of the machinery. If they wanted to, they could bring the entire city to its knees overnight. That gives them the leverage to be treated as equals, despite their tiny size.
Now, most little rodents are probably upstanding, law abiding citizens. But we've already seen a little rodent mafia in the form of Mister Big. How widespread is it? I'm betting little rodent mobs are running protection rackets all over town, shaking down businesses to ensure they don't get infiltrated by rodent saboteurs.
And what happens if a few of those mobs go off the rails and start committing terrorist acts? How will the ZPD stop them, while still remaining on good terms with the more-or-less law abiding rodent population, and protecting them from the enraged larger animals that would just as soon send in the exterminators?
