>>82788090She knew he contacted her at the last moment. When people WANT to see you, they make plans in advance to make sure you're available; " hey what's up, I'm coming to town in 2 weeks and wondered if you wanted to catch up at some point".
But when it's " yeah I'm IN town right NOW and leaving in a couple of days but just thought to check if you had time tomorrow", it means you're an afterthought. They planned the trio for weeks, knowing you're there, showed up, spent x amount of time around in the same city all without contacting you, and only decide to see if you happen to be available when they only have one or two days left and you might have made other plans. It means you're not high on the priority list, you're an afterthought, an impulse.
And again, it's not Eve's business how long he's been around. He could have come and gone without contacting her,it's his right. He calls, I'm here now, leaving pretty soon, wanna see, and she took the offer knowing full well the suddenness of it all doesn't spell commitment. She doesn't need to know how long he's been around, only that he only chooses to contact her that late - it makes no difference if he'd have flown in that morning, he didn't make the decision to travel in an impulse but planned the trip for weeks, months - she's an afterthought and wasn't originally a part of his travel plans and she knows it, but chooses to ignore it because she wants to believe in the fantasy she's created.
It's sort of funny how hard you're trying to twist this so that Eve wouldn't come across as a cunt, but she's not a victim here, she just made dumbass choices
