Incest is how the breed becames better, faster, stronger, smarter.
Bad offshoots can't compete against the better offshoots, dies off.
That is actual biology.
You only have issues once some weaker genes develop, and you keep breeding the weaker with itself. This is usually what happens in a limited breeding selection and no good genes around to get selected.
Incest is what created every bit of sexually producing life on the planet. So incest cannot be wrong.
And if you were separated at a young age from your relatives, when you meet them as breeding age physical adult, you'd find they are the sexiest people you ever met. Science has examined that to death. Growing up, you build a mental "off" for the people around you. Whether they are related or not. Anyone NOT under that "off" bit, you will find sexy if they share a lot of genes with you. The more shared genes, the more you find them sexy. That's why cases of brother and sister separated at young age but meet later in life are the most common incest relationships around. And why arranged marriages between cousins who have never met tend to be the most ugly bumping pairings ever.
TL DR: Incest made every living thing in our world that is sexual. And if you didn't grow up with them, then it isn't "icky" to you, its "damn they sexy".
