It goes for the highschool-hero setting, where everything happens with the people around our teenage protagonist, and it's all "teenage" themed, like kids with daddy issues, or problems with the school's football team, etc.
But then shit gets really, really dark and at the end sometimes there's not even a moral to the story, a lot of times the villains aren't even complete cunts, just people who lost their grip on life.
It's a pretty dark show, all in all.
