Should I watch Stakes? Pretty much the only thing I've seen from it is the song "Everything Stays", which I think is a great song.

Also, I stopped watching AT at "Joshua and Margaret" and basically haven't assed myself to keep watching. Should I pick up AT again?

Yes. Season 7 has been by and large a hell of a lot better than Season 6 in general, which meandered and went all over the place

Stakes was alright; decent enough story, great villains, snazzy song, and a fun group adventure with nearly all the main characters.
Bunch of people consider Finn and Jake to be a tad ooc but that's up to your judgement.

Season 7 is really good as a whole, lot better than Stakes. Main strength is that the show pulled its head out of its ass and went back to focusing on fun, interesting stories with the characters.

Stakes and Season 7 are a no go, and with that in mind you should keep on with season 6 since there's still lots of good episodes in there and you kind of have to go through those to get the following stuff.

Got sort of bad, stagnated, got other weirdly bad, then had a step up.
Keep in mind that there were a mix of great, mediocre, and shit episodes all throughout those stages.

The nature of the way AT is made makes it nearly impossible for it to ever get too shitty, I feel.

It fleshes out Marceline and solidifies her status as an anti-hero in that every act of good she does has some ulterior, if banal, motive to it.

Like, as you can tell from the premise, she didn't hunt vampires because it was the right thing to do necessarily. She just did it because she wanted people to like her for hunting vampires.

Well, someone asked CN the question whether CB and FP are dating. They answered with a resounding no, basically the next time you'd probably see CB and FP on the same scene, they'd be just friends.

It's apparently clear in "The Cooler" that CN has told them to cut it out, and presented CB as nothing more than FP's personal aide .

On the flipside ,the HW episode is an obvious setup to how Finn will deal with the situation.

Hey, they finally remembered shit like Breezy and the water nymphs, maybe they've remembered the plot about Cinnamon Bun not actually being "fully baked" but instead being mind-swapped with Flame Lord in order to get close to FP.

That said, at this point, I don't want Finn to be with any princess. He needs a quiet girlfriend to match his wild nature.

You can tell they wanted to do a more interesting story but a lot just falls flat. The ten minute format just doesn't give enough time to explore any aspect which is especially bad for the attempts at character development. Finn gets treated like shit but that's just modern AT. The lesbian parts are just a very few random moments that if you weren't into the fandom would feel very odd and out of place, it doesn't go anywhere.

Then the end feels like a big slap in the face cause nothing changes and they are aware of that but fuck you

I've been rewatching some of the early episodes and they're still really great.
There was a lot more dark and not-so-subtle adult humor in the earlier eps. The adventures were a lot more unpredictable and wacky, but it made it work, which was great.

My only problem is that having seen Finn & Jake as he is now, and watching them and the way they act in the 1st & 2nd season, they're kind of annoying.
Basically they're both kind of stupid and also dicks. Not that it isn't funny, but Finn's naivete is a bit grating (alongside his voice).
