In fact, the only thing her character contributed was the faux moral ambiguity Act 5 spent so much time developing, and then that aspect of her was completely dropped during Act 6.
So... kill her off in Act 5. Let her mellow out like (Vriska) did. Don't kill off doomed John and have the two of them hook up, instead adding shitty pedolesbians to the story. There! Fixed.
Eridan has little to no potential. Sorry. You could get him some kind of afterlife arc with dead Tavros as his mentor, maybe?
Gamzee is a weird case. What the hell's going on with the clown? At least answer that. Tell us how much of him was guilty of his crimes and how much of him was a victim of Lil' Cal mind control. Then you can cut him in half. Maybe show us what he's really like when he's not under mind control nor sopor.
Karkat could have been good. He doesn't need some sort of grandiose role to be important, just make him earn respect as the team's psychologist and 'good advice guy' rather than a leader or fighter, and bam, he can live without being a total joke.
