>>81976711>the kids and families won't give a fuck about it.Oh the kids will, but their parents probably won't. A few days ago I was working my retail day job (inb4 >wagecuck) and this soccer mom checked out at my till. I made the usual small talk and she mentioned how she was taking her kids to see "The Jungle Book" that night. She said something about how Disney had been making good movies lately and I said, "Oh yeah, I saw Zootopia awhile back and it was really good." Her reply was, "Yeah, the kids liked that one, and there was enough humour in it that adults won't get bored."
Something about that annoyed me. Here's a movie where the creative team put massive amounts of effort into building a new world and telling a compelling story at the same time, yet a lot of people will only see it as something they need to sit through so their kids will be quiet for two hours. They just discount an entire medium of filmmaking. I really hope I don't become a normie parent.
