Cinefex BvS Plot Confirmations

Cinefex is a publication that goes in pretty in-depth over movie production, particularly the visual effects side. Their most recent issue came out today and covers the production and effects for BvS very extensively. It’s a very interesting read, in part because it goes over each part of the movie and also confirms several plot elements that have been discussed/theorized here:

>The landscape Batman emerges from in the Knightmare sequence represents the dried lakebed behind Bruce’s compound, with Wayne manor in the background and Gotham City in the distance.

>Apokolips is formed out of the shattered pieces of a ruined planet and sucks the life out of other planets. The fire columns shoot up from the Earth toward Apokolips, which is harvesting the energy.

>Barry Allen (Flash) arrives to confirm the post-apocalyptic dream is a warning of a possible future. The armored suit he’s wearing permits the Flash to use his speed to time travel.

>It is indeed a Mother Box that fuses with Cyborg to create his body.

>Diana is a divine creature that imbues whatever instrument she’s using with her power, explaining how her shield can defend against Doomsday’s blasts and how her sword can cut through him.

>The ending sequence where Superman and Doomsday kill each other is indeed inspired by the movie Excalibur.
