>>81672589>>81672718I finally saw the movie tonight and it's not as horrible as I expected, particularly in comparing what was in trailers to where those cuts actually came - except for the Doomsday reveal.
What the movie was is exactly this, bloated (too much Batfleck, too many of his dreams; I like Eisenberg and didn't have the expectations that his Luthor would be bad, even after the "red capes are coming" and it's not his performance, per se, that is bad, it's his dialogue. In parts, it's like they are trying to suggest that he's a little demented but they don't go anywhere with that. He's just supposed to have all this knowledge, literally bringing the Justice League into being - without him, the DCEU would NOT exist, point blank. But literally they don't allow anything (except for the fingerprint bit) that shows his intelligence and cunning, it's all BS plot devices and writers writing themselves into a little corner and presto-chango guy in a wheelchair comes about; last time I was tourist visiting DC, they made me take my glasses off to pass the metal detectors at the Capital, they had too high a metal content. I saw them making guys takes their belts off.
I'm fine with abandoning reason: that a 45ish Bruce could take on 40 or so guys with guns and knives and only suffer a few punches and stabs and none of the bullets even pierce or damage his kevlar/uniform. It's exactly as people said with the trailer, why does his vest and face look so pristine when he just went through that cloud of debris when the little girl looks like she's been playing in dirt all morning?
Diana was fine. Bruce was made to look bad, the Martha thing is such a lazy writer's cop out, and such a simplistic resolve of something even Alfred couldn't talk him out of.
Snyder can stay on since it would be hard to fire him, but they need to remove him AND his wife as EPs (what actually qualifies her? Absolutely nothing) and even the third guy.
