He's charming with Finn, drives him out of the Order base to freedom, gives him his name, gives him his jacket, runs to him like a long-lost love etc. If he had similar flirtation with Rey, it'd be different, but they don't even meet. So there's nothing to balance it.
Similar to how so many people thought Elsa from Frozen must be a lesbian because she's not seen lusting after a man (she's mainly petrified with the fear of killing everyone she touches, so romance isn't on the forefront of her mind). She's not seen romantically cavorting with a woman either (no, the familial love doesn't count), she's just single - but a lot people took that to mean implied gay.
With Poe Dameron, he not only displays no interest in the opposite sex, but is shown being very affectionate towards a same sex person. So it's to be anticipated.
Also Oscar Isaac has been talking about how awesome it would be if Poe would be gay. But in any case it's all good fun and whatever happens I'll be interested to see the reactions
