Why is there so little love for Steven from the fans and in the fandom? It just feels like not a lot of people take him very seriously, which makes me pretty sad.

What do you think the show could do to make people take Steven seriously, and not just laugh him off and not consider him as a Crystal Gem?
I'd like to see him growing up, become more mature, and get much better control over his powers.
