Something Tumblr character creations does now is differentiate between sexuality and romance. Like, you could be dual class between heterosexual and homogendered/heteroracial romantic, meaning a man is sexually attracted to a woman of any race but only romantically attracted to men of different races.
It's mostly taken to extreme for maximum special snowflake points, like pansexuals who are sexually attracted to anything, and asexuals who feel no sexual desires. Same for panromantic and aromantic.
In this kind of environment, feeling only some sexual attraction, and combining it with romance, does seem a bit less strict, a bit more open and blurry, so 'grey' kind of works.
