The original Kuuga is probably one of the best portrayals of a Superhero in my opinion ever.
Godai is just an ordinary guy who wants to help people at first because of a message his old teacher gave him after his father passed away.
It wasn't destiny or fate that he got the Kuuga belt, just pure fucking chance. He literally stepped up to the plate though upon realizing just what the Grongi were, horrible mass murdering monsters.
And yet he never quips against them. He doesn't make jokes when fighting and he doesn't do banter at all. Most of his fights have him panting because he's focused on fighting and is getting exhausted, or screaming because he's either terrified or angry. He fucking HATES the fighting, but he fights because the Grongi will just keep mass murdering if he doesn't.
And then you learn that the Kuuga Belt is basically turning him into a Grongi and that he might turn into one of those violence addicted monsters and you're worried because out of anyone, Godai doesn't deserve that.
But because of the strength of his character he doesn't succumb to the love of power, and even in the final fight, while the last boss is laughing like a fucking maniac because he's enjoying the final fight so much, Godai is still just panting, and screaming, and crying.
That's a 10/10 Hero.
