Do Spider-Man's powers give him the peak physical human condition? Like if he lost them, he'd still be in fantastic shape because of all the time his body had to adapt to the stuff he's done, right?

It's not as if his powers ae a suit of armor or a buffer that absorb every benefit from the physical activity he does. His boddy is a conduit for the power to act, at least that's the way I see it. I ask because a friend said that if he lost his powers, he wouldn't be able to fight crime. I disagreed because he'd still be much stronger than a regular person, at least on Cap's level. Maybe.
