Hogwarts was founded in 990 AD. Look at where Hogwarts is. Then try to keep in mind how Scotland felt about England at the time and how England felt about Scotland at the time. Then also try to keep in mind that the magic school for the UK -- that has always accepted students from all around the UK -- was there before the UK was.

Not really frustrated at you, or even JK. I'm just getting salty at the Americans who get up in arms -- even going as far as talking about racial shit with the natives being offensive -- about JK doing poorly thought through history when it concerns America and it's natives while being horribly non self-aware.
The fact of the matter is that JK doesn't want to write a world of history, she wants to write a world of whimsy and magic. So she ignores a lot of stuff and takes the history textbook grade 1 shit only. Just like she did with Hogwarts.
My girlfriend follows a lot of SJW Harry Potter types on tumblr. It's frustrating to look at the stuff they've been saying about it.
