It's because it's unfamiliar territory. Cartoon Network is based off of Europe, most of its subsediaries are in Europe and most of the conutries it broadcasts to are European countries.
What that means is that the marketing departments that being listened to gather the data almost exclusively from Europe. The comapany is literally BLIND to how pupular their prudct is in the US. they could be making 80% of their money there AND THEY WOULDN'T KNOW THAT.
Yes it's retarded, but companies have severe blind spots that can completely cripple their marketing.
