Question for everyone here. I don't like the reboot's style, I think if you're gonna deviate, then do it. If you're gonna be as close to the source, then go all the way, no halfsies. But do you think this guy re-animating this scene to be "proper PPG" is like... Rude? In some way?
It's a very neat experiment and articulates with visuals what is wrong with the reboot. But literally all the comments towards this have been "Holy shit, get fucked artists who are working on the new show" rather than "Holy shit, get fucked network execs who rebooted the show on probably a shit budget".
I just kind of feel bad literally everyone on the staff is being inadvertently shat on for probably complying with what the higher ups demanded of them and feel ever WORSE that they're being blamed for the reboot and that most of the staff are probably newbies using this reboot as training.
I dunno. This whole thread has made me feel a lil' sympathetic towards the crew. Even if the reboot is still shit, I blame the execs for putting newbies on a full time show rather than allowing them to work on a shorts program or you know... Train them.
