I blame Heinberg for letting his TV schedule delay the Young Avengers series to the point that all we got was The Children's Crusade. If it had been just one Young Avengers arc (as originally planned) fine, but because it was all we got, it made it seem like the whole series was all about Billy.

Gillen's mistake (for me) was thinking the new series should also be all about Billy, instead of that it was time to focus on someone else.

Of course I don't know how much of the delay was Heinberg's fault and how much was internal politics about bringing back Scarlet Witch.

Literally this came out of nowhere, since it was pre-Civil War . The closest this was was when JJJ wrote an article against them (because Spider-Man) and Maria Hill tried to deny Cap's attempt to bring them together (because she's Maria Hill)

There's a reason Gyrich was relevant, despite his character being "that government asshole". They kind of NEEDED a government liason to stay official. At least after Civil War, Bendis's New Avengers were never the official team until the title change.

Let me see if I can keep up with the Keikaku so far.
So we've got Strucker funding the Thunderbolts so that there'd be a gang of heroes around that wouldn't be competent enough to stop him.
We have Purple Man manipulating Genis and Atlas (except not really Atlas) and using Swordsman to fuck with Strucker.
We've got Zemo then manipulating the Purple Man, as well as following his own goals!

I don't think he's passing judgement. If anything, he seems to think that the Thunderbolts went evil, and is dissapointed at that fact. Dude's got every reason to take it personally, both because he's probably met them more than anyone who didn't end up joining them, and the fact that he's got enough bad press that he was probably rooting for them.
