Most of my favorites are veiled in grey. I like the devil's advocate type. The hero no one saw coming type I guess. The first answer that came to mind was Blackbolt. I love everything Kirby had anything to do with and the idea of a disciplined, royal, megapower with an awesome suit just did me so right.

The rest of my top 5 are filled out by Spider-Man, Daredevil, Batman, and Wasp, not necessarily in that order. Hank's definitely my number 1 though.

I had really bad taste growing up though. I don't like liking what I think everyone else likes. So Hawkeye was one of my favorites growing up... I think it was the purple. I liked Iron Fist a lot too mainly for the power set. If we're talking mainstream I dunno... I can't even... Nightcrawler and Colossus were always in my top favorites. Galactus is my favorite character followed my the Celestials as a whole... so it's kinda rough choosing this. Oh yeah and this guy that never gets used... omnipotence is pretty sweet.

Followed by Pym and Vision. I like cold and distant philosopher types, I guess. I had never noticed. MCU Cap trumps them all so far, though.

There's not many comics here, so I only read the most recommended runs of what I looked for, specifically. Everything else I've read about.

Martian Manhunter on the DC side and Ghost Rider on the Marvel side. MM takes it overall for filling the "alien" and "flying brick" niche that I love so much, but Ghost Rider fills the comfy spot in me that loves supernatural/horror shit.

It's already on my list after some daredevil and Kingdom Come and Red Son, which I still have to finish. Why doesn't marvel have these isolated stories as much? I never understood it. Is it for the sake of continuity? Their what-ifs seem a lot weaker.

Ghost Rider was my favorite as a kid (Danny Ketch) but I've started leaning a lot towards Daredevil as I've gotten older. It's hard to pick between the two, but if you put a gun to my head, I'd pick Daredevil.
