He doesn't wear it at the Battle of Hoth though.

He wears the Pilot Jumpsuit, and joins the battle when his Airspeeder is shot down.

He never was in combat in that Scout uniform (except against the Wampa) so it's still the inaccurate costume for the Battle of Hoth.

I don't know what it's called, since "Heroes on Both Sides" is the only time I've ever seen it, but I really like this one. Sleek hull design, and small enough that it could be used by a small crew. I think it's a cargo ship/intragalactic bus.

Slap some turrets on there and I think you've got a pretty good smuggler ship.

I mean fifteen dollars for such a small fucking X-Wing? twenty for a TIE Bomber? No.

But what is basically thirty dollars for a Cruiser? Far less of a gouge. It's just a shame I still have to pay the extra thirty for the two TIEs.

Once I get it, I'll take pictures and start to design my smuggler captain's paint job for the thing.

I'm saying they're not worth the money because they're so goddamn small, in addition they would simply be models for me to have on my desk. At that price and with that use in mind, anything that isn't a capital ship isn't really worth buying to me.

I don't even know if my hobby shop carries the damn things, but I'll find out later today when they get off their butts and open the store. And if they do, this set seems new enough that they wouldn't carry it. I'll probably have to end up buying it off Amazon though,which will over all be cheaper for me.

My local hobby shop has some Magic stuff under the counter and half aisle of Warhammer, and I've never seen any saying they have any kinds of game nights or anything. The place is really mostly for like model planes and trains and stuff.

I was never really a fan of miniatures game play, and I was only ever drawn to Warhammer because the models were interesting to me, but I never bought any because I was never all that good at the building and painting, but I've gotten better. The capital ships for this game are nicely detailed, and I don't have to put anything together or force to paint anything to appreciate how they look.

Actually, fuck the middle man, take the lightsaber and put it on a Corvette and laugh as no one wants to even fuck with you. Corvette is big enough to get a special powersupply that wont fuck with the hyperdrive

Shit like that is exactly why I hate Rebels. They introduce stuff that can completely change the course of power in the GCW and no one comments on it.

It might also be it's very expensive to make. Keep in mind the Rebels don't have their own shipyards and are on a very tight budget. Lots of prototypes have a bunch of features that can't be put into mass-production. Could be they figured mounting much more common heavy laser cannons would be better.

Plus, we saw it take out a frigate, not an ISD. Maybe there's an economy of scale, with bigger ships being able to shrug off the laser.

I like the Idea that Concord Dawn was once a part of Mandalore during the Old Republic but when Mandalore became pacifists they gave up Concord Dawn. When Jango was born he wasn't strictly a Mandalorian but Concord Dawn still had some Mando culture which he grew up with

Any TIE, by the looks of it. Maybe not defenders. They seem to attach by the same pegs that are used to attch the TIE's to their bases for the game, so they are in effect upside down, though in canon I believe the umbilicals attach to the tops where the hatch is.

Coincidentally I went to a new comic store (I say new, turns out it's been there for two and a half years...) and they had a Raider that looked to pretty I just had to have it.

Any TIE I'd assume, I've only seen it with standard TIE's before that picture. Maybe not the wide model ties like the Advanced or Bomber, but the narrow ones could fit

As for Rebels, I'm going with timed well, probably to give the impression that marketing is being really clever.
And I think we're meant to think Hera is dead and Fenn was the one who shot her down. At least, that's what I pulled from the clip

Those who hate Disney for "wiping out the EU" (which they didn't, the books still exist and are still as canon as they ever were) and can't bring themselves to enjoy anything new

And those who loved the EU, but recognize how impossible it'd be to merge the new goal of making movies and the dream that they'd line up with the EU 100% (If they decided they wanted to use the big three actors while they can still do movies, and they stuck with the EU timeline, episode 7 would be the fucking Swarm War)

Even if everything in the EU was perfect, they simply couldn't have done an episode 7 with the original actors. I can't think of a single storyline in the 30-40 ABY era that wouldn't require a metric ton of back story. The Swarm War would need to explain who Lomi Plo is, who the Chiss and the Empire of the Hand were, basically every character. Legacy of the Force is a favorite series of mine, but you couldn't effectively tell the story of Jacen's fall without explaining what he went through in the Yuuzhan Vong War, all the stuff with his daughter, etc.

It may be kind of a bummer that very little war-wise seems to have happened between the fall of the Empire and TFA, but it's really the only way to do a new movie set that far after

It makes sense though, the Imperial forces were gutted between Endor and Jakku, and the Republic is made up of and led by people and planets that are sick to the back teeth of war and excessive militarisation
It's kind of like a very low intensity Cold War, the Republic just wants to rebuild and move on, the First Order are off playing empire builder (or Homeworld, depending on how mobile their fleets are) and the Resistance are made up of old glory hounds and those so traumatized by the war they can't let go of tracking the Empire

Not a bad choice. I'm still hoping they run with that idea to get rid of the Ascendency and make the Chiss the species of the Hapes Consortium instead of shafting them over to the unknown regions. That way they're a more known entity within the galactic community, and enjoy a tasty femdom culture. Also mixing Chiss and Hapes ship designs would be pure sex.

I suppose, it's just kind of disappointing that the OT basically ends with them allowing the Empire to fester for 30 years until they come roaring back. Instead of Luke forming a new Jedi Order not without it's hiccups, he got his whole first class wiped out and fucked off to Space Ireland. I don't think that's a bad story direction, it's just kinda depressing that in the new canon he failed so miserably

Instead of raising their Jedi kids and flying around in the Falcon, Han and Leia raised one Vader fanatic,got a soft divorce, and the Falcon rusted on Jakku for decades

Depends which models, the ones the Empire used seem to be mostly filled with electric gubbins for the purpose of targeting and powering the lasers
The ones the First Order use are really quite high end by comparison, they even made a model with inbuilt hyperdrive
Of course the real answer is miniaturization of electronics got really advanced between the originals and today, so what we'd assume could fit in a ball fighter has changed

Personally I blame it on the prequels abandoning the fantasy style. It should have been the high fantasy counterpart to the mundane dominated low fantasy of the originals. Instead the series about laser sword wielding space wizards had several riveting (as in you wanted to put rivets through your genitals) sessions of Senatorial debate on trade tariffs

Looks like it only fold forwards into a vertical foregrip, rather than the full folding stock on the original E-11. My guess is it saves weight by cutting out a component no Stormtrooper ever used anyway. If you want a stock you can easily attach one in the armory

That emotional betrayal plus Barris' justification about why she changed opinions on the Jedi and the war, didn't give her many reasons to stay in the order. Basically the only reason was to stick with Anakin, and that wasn't enough on its own to stay.

Yeah, some uploads have the cut for TV episodes, some have the 'as intended' ones you get on the DVD. The DVD ones are a lot more brutal, especially on Geonosis. Shit gets pretty Saving Private Ryan

In the PT, Maul having a red saber was fine, but Dooku used to be a jedi. He already had a lightsaber. It would have been neat if he had a green/blue saber.

There was an episode in The Clone Wars that acknowledged that the Republic needed more Clone Troopers in order to continue the war. Despite the high cost and possible moral implications of creating people to serve a destructive, the bill was passed and ordered more soldiers for the war effort.

Also personally, I feel that its more skill based. Clone Troopers may die, but their brothers go on to "fight another day". And when they go on, their skills and ferocity in battle resumes. Thats why there are clones who have custom painted armor, instilling creativity and a desire to live. And its these kinds of exemplary servicemen that win battles.

Also, it helps to have good leadership on your side. Jedi generals like Anakin Skywalker knew how to use few clone troopers to achieve a goal when the numbers were stacked against them. In this EU comic, one Clone Trooper comments how one bad imperial commander or even a couple of replacements can lead an entire into disarray.

That and people still debate whether the lightning had effectively mystical properties due to being produced by the Force.

About the suit itself, though, it occurs to me that one of Anakin's features in the Prequels was his constant tinkering with mechanical components, including his own cybernetic hand. I wonder if Vader hasn't modded his own suit over the years.

I'm not sure they can make them faster. It does seem weird that they have so many embryos towards the end of the clone wars. Still we don't really now much of Kamino's cloning operations and how large they were. They seem to have actually created a vast surplus of clones in anticipation for the Republic buying more later on. Why all the embryos if they wouldn't be viable for ten years? More than likely Kamino wanted a fresh stock in case the Republic was going to make them the standard soldier across their territory. It's also very probable Kamino imagined once the clones won the war other parties would be interested in buying the proven superior military product.

Or since they were such dickbags about their clones and viewed them as products they had no problem terminating them en masse if they proved surplus to needs.

Considering we see at least two or three other Battles of Felucia in TCW, I'd imagine this same fate was apparent on many, many more worlds. Suddenly Obi-Wan's observation as to how the war keeps dragging on with no end in sight at the beginning of "Landing at Point Rain" makes so much more sense. There literally was no "winning" the war. Battles would go on indefinitely, on the same planets if need be, for as long as Palpatine needed in order to set stable grounds for the Empire.

My Battle of Muunilinst fic suddenly got more interesting

Because troops can be moved so fast the Clone War ended up being spectacularly intense as well, there's very little of the "hurry up and wait" pattern you get in most wars, Clones are flung from battle to battle with little to no pause

Vader always talks about how painful the suit and limbs are when he reflects on them. One scene in a comic shows a maintenance section where reconnecting his cybernetics looks painful enough to make you piss yourself.

The problem is, I think, who owns the source code. The Republic or the Kaminoans? Kamino likely does since they modified the genes and the Republic merely purchases the end result. Still it all matters whether the EMPIRE still sees it that way. Then we're not sure if Kamino is steamrolled. Surely not in the old Battlefront way, I cannot imagine the Kaminoans, as shown in TCWs, giving enough of a fuck. But they could be seen as a potential threat. A single world that can produce soldiers able to conquer the galaxy? "Haha, have you seen what we did to Geonosis lately?"

Interestingly, the ships in star wars, in normal travel, seem to move faster than light at times, or at least rediculously close to it. Hyperspace allows ships to travel even faster than light, since Hyperspace is more like an alternate dimension than a kick up in speed.

That being said it can still takes hours and days of hyperspace travel to get from place to place. from Tatooine to Alderaan apparently takes two hours with the course they took if I remember ANH right.

Ok correction, FIFTH battle.

Fourth battle is presumably the one with Ki Adi.

But Twilight Company mentions there being a battle against the Empire on that planet too.

So at least five battles since the start of the Clone Wars.

Unless there's just a backlash against cloning in general, with clones seen as one of the great excesses of the old Republic that the Empire wisely swept away
When you think about it, it doesn't get much more decadent and corrupt then refusing to raise an army and just buying one instead

even the "failed clones" are used for manual labor. They're made janitors like 99, and probably other mundane things like dock workers, technicians on ships, so on. There are many parts of a warmachine other than the fighting soldiers.

Clones cost more money to make and train than a normal soldier, remember clones were bred to be super soldiers, every single one of them was supposed to be the best of the best.

It's easier to make mass produced armor kits and slap some farm boy into them and hand them a gun.

Dude, It's Dark Side powered Sith Armor. Lords Of The Sith explains it better but the pain actually makes him even more powerful. It's not designed for comfort, it's designed for maximum efficiency and Vader uses it superbly. He almost is indestructible.

Grevious and Dooku together would get stomped by Vader in his suit.
