>sizzle.mediaAwesome work but Noooo, don't sexualise images of kid super hero's dude. We need to move away from this type of emphasis on physical perfection and develop a create a new direction.
>duss005@sizzle.media not sure how this is a sexualized image? that's a regular school uniform and kids today wear tank tops with boots and pants.
>sizzle.media@duss005 it was the kid on the right I was referring too. Tight pants, high boots, heels, the appearance of school kid turning into a grown up, and that's how grown up 'powerful' females look like is (in my opinion) as a father and teacher, adding to the pressures of young kids that feel that if they are not physically perfect or attractive, that they are not good enough. Alot of this imprinting comes from what they read, see or hear. It's just my opinion as I work with kids teaching martial arts and sport therapy, and it's this feeling of physical inferiority that they consume visually which leads to sooooo many problems.
>_teejayy.draws_@sizzle.media sorry to cut in on this but I don't think kids are going to read this book and think "I wish I could have a body like that". In fact the bodies of these characters are very immature so that they actually look like kids so that they can be relatable to any kids reading. Anyways she's a female superhero... I don't think she's gonna go out crime fighting in baggy jeans. The clothes just help her to be able to move faster (it looks like the material would be pretty light.) Also, love the work on your page man keep it up.
>sizzle.media@_teejayy.draws_ you be surprising at what kids see, and how it effects them. Of course all of the above is just my opinion and you guys are fantastic artists, truly. But I work very closely with pre-teen and teens, and this issue of body image and self confidence is a massive problem, which I, as a creative and mentor, see the correlation. Keep up the good work.
