Yes, actually, I do know about /mlp/'s existence and I've browsed it for quite a while and it's shit. It doesn't do anything, its threads are more repetitive than a TDKR discussion on /tv/, they have NOTHING to talk about nine months a year and when they actually do get a bone from overlords at Hasbro they shit on it for a day or two and go back to their fetish generals. An entire board of generals dedicated to fucking nothing. It's a personal opinion, of course, but I'd rather have the show discussion banned from 4chan completely than go back there on hiatuses.>>78926407>There were cycling 5 or 6 pony threads a piece at all times constantly. It was a plague.
Is it really any worse than a dozen threads about MCU? DCCU?>Generals that get too big are cut off at the knees ever since. The pony fandom wasn't some innocent bystander in an online conspiracy.
Pony fandom wasn't an innocent bystander because -- yes, you're right, they initiated all that shit but they wouldn't be as big as they came to be if it wasn't for the "opposition". Threads were randomly deleted, every mention of MLP was banned for a while, and since this is a shitposting central you don't even have to put two and two together to find out how it all could have ended. And it did.
Generals are a bad idea, period. It's a place for talking about this -specific- thing but after a few days, a week, maybe a month if you have a dedicated or autistic community, there's just nothing to talk about and it finishes transforming into a circlejerk. This is why /mlp/ is such an awful place - they have not just one thread, but a whole board and they have no idea what to do with it. I'm not gonna deny that once in a while an original post, content appears there and maybe it even takes off but it's an exception and it's not worth it.
