40's, 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's. There were transition periods yes, but looking back there was change, they were distinct. 2005 vs 2015? It's all stagnated since "social media' came around the corner.
The only musical subculture I still see alive are the metalheads, and they're infested with posers.
