>>78616753>>78616885Frozen is still so popular they're saving the hype boost. That's the best guess imo.
The Princess Coronation is an artificial way to create "news" with the princess in question out of thin air, and get them in the news a little for one last time, which will create one last squeeze of hype for the property in question, hopefully to drive sales.
But with Frozen, they're planning a full-on WDAS sequel, (the 3rd time it's ever been done, big deal) the franchise is still generating plenty hype and money on its own even without the Princess brand boost - why waste that desperate last resort now, when it's not yet needed?
However, they're already arranging for Princess meet-and-greets with Anna and Elsa face characters in the official "Princess Fairytale Hall", right next to one of the original Princesses, Princess Aurora from Sleeping Beauty. It's a big deal. So you can see Disney is quietly treating them as if they already were official Princesses in some respects.
>>78616822I haven't seen the media hype that it was a fantastic cinematic masterpiece, which would be overrating. They just say that it was a massive worldwide hit - which is true. A movie can be a massive, moneyprinting hit without being a good movie (see: Minions, Furious 7), and acknowledging that it's an insane runaway success and one of the most profitable movies ever isn't "overrating" it, it's just recognizing the facts.
Frozen may not have been an awesome movie, but it's still ridiculously popular worldwide.
