>>78537783I enjoyed that short PV much more than the actual show. I think it had more personality to it. The atmosphere, facial expressions and movements added a lot and Ladybug fighting reminded me of Precure. I was actually really excited when it came out.
Also that Eurotrash music with up ladybug ladybug is my jamCould've been great. I don't think we'll be getting much punching and kicking in the 2D version either, which is sad
>>78537822I have low standards and enjoy many shitty shows despite their blatant flaws because of potential couples or a character, but I just can't do it with this show. The cat boy is cute. Really cute. Cat boys are great by nature. That's all. I keep watching it because I see potential and hope it'll improve.
You could develop Felix and Marinette's relationship along with the plot. Tweak their characters a little without rewriting them entirely. Turning a superficial relationship into a deeper one isn't something impossible, although I don't think the writers could pull it off anyway. As it stands, the writing in the show is bad-to-okay, and really slow due to its episodic nature and apparent lack of an overarching plot. It's also playing it extremely safe - like, ages 3 and up little girl show levels. There is almost no conflict. Nothing interesting is happening with Adrien and Marinette's relationship, or with the plot. Hence why I agree that a more "problematic" relationship that gradually improves instead of two people being nice to each other (cute spaghetti aside) from the start, even when there's no plot, would be more enjoyable to watch.
Since apparently we're getting their origin stories in the final, I hope the next season will be better.
