>>78157011I thought the guns thing was just a joke that didn't need to be explained. Bigger issues:
--Did killing Leslie really stop the ads? She was only one ad in South Park, and supposedly every town on the planet was gentrified in much the same way. I guess they sort of implied that everyone in the world would read about it in Super School News and take action in their own cities, but that's kind of a lame conclusion.
--There was no closure for the Newsmen. They just kinda weren't there at all in the finale.
--We still don't know what PC Principal was doing in the State Farm ad. Yeah, we know he and his movement were being used by the ads, but the fact that he had no memory of being in an insurance commercial implies a bit more mindfuckery was in play that never gets explained. People were expecting him to be an ad gone rogue, or an adblocker or something, but he's just a guy apparently with no explanation for how he ended up in that ad.
--I'm assuming Garrison's campaign and the PC movement in general are going to stick around in the next season as well? Well, what was the point then? The first two episodes established PC vs anti-PC as the main conflict of the season, and then that sort of got sidelined in favor of the ad storyline, which wasn't resolved very well imo. So now we're just right back to where we were at the end of episode 2, with PC principal in charge and Garrison campaigning for president.
