>>77997786It's a shame, she's so talented. I can kind of understand how it got overwhelming; all the rabid shipping (which she fed at first) etc, maybe she hadn't thought the plot out in advance and kind of lost interest in the project and was stuck with it, the expectations from fans, all that.
But still. Even if she couldn't go on, she should have at least authorised 4DE to explain what's going on, or had her sister put some sort of "she's alive, she just can't continue, it's no-one's fault, sorry and thanks" notice on the site. She had a massive fandom, in part because she courted and encouraged the attention, and many people were genuinely worried for her - people were trying to send her IRL "tessagrams" for fuck's sake. People were distraught, thinking she might have died. People had paid actual money for her products she didn't quite feel like completing, at least she could have fucking said "sorry".
But, nothing. Nothing at all. Despite all her effusing about how much she looooooves her fans and how much they mean to her, when she got tired she couldn't even cough out 4 words or a single apology because she couldn't face up to her failure. Some people spoke to her sister in some cons and confirmed that she had no health problem, she wasn't in the hospital, there was no gag order from her publisher - she literally just didn't wanna deal with it, and hid.
Yes, I'm salty. It's so cold and rude and unprofessional and obnoxious. And now, like before, after laying low and playing dead until the dust has settled, she's come out with a new shiny project, gushing about how "grateful" she is of her fans, full of excitement and energy. She's loving the attention and trying to get fans emotionally involved in the comic through creating a community feel, like before.
And I'm sure that like before, when she eventually loses interest in yet another project or it gets just a bit overwhelming, she'll drop it all again, mid-plot.
