Is it bad that I wanted the 90s Cameron Spider-Man movie to happen?
Some of the stuff in it is interesting, Cameron at the time wasn't making too many shit like he's doing currently and Scott Leva is the closest thing to a live-action 90s Peter Parker.

Wonder how much the movie landscape would be different today had they happened. The fan response would've been negative, that's for sure, X-Men probably wouldn't have happened. Maybe it would have killed capemovies in the crib.

The general public might eat it up, as awful as it seemed to be, but the fans that know the characters intentionally being misrepresented would've probably hated it.

Best case scenario would be Batman Returns kind of thing, where it has nothing to do with the source but it's still good on it's own merits.

But I don't think that would've turned Hollywood's head towards comic books as a gold mine for lucrative adaptations as it happened in the early 2000s.
