The trailer had a brief glimpse of a pissed off looking Ezra charging Kallus, and both of his goons going down to reflected blaster fire.

No, it's not. It's the complete opposite. We are supposed to relate to the characters and feel what they feel, but no one relates to a boring cardboard cutout with no personality. A real human wouldn't act like the prequel characters in intense situations like in the webm. above.

Eh, it had some neat ideas but squanders them and spends most of the book just kind of wasting time. The first-person takes some getting used to, but even then you have a lot of moments where you think "does Luke even talk like this?"

Don't be deterred by the Servants of the Empire books because there are 4 of them. They range from 164 to 182 pages long and can be finished in a day each if you read fast. The first book is kind of boring since it sets up the plot away from Ghost crew; fourth book really picks up and finishes all the plot lines set up and even may connect into TFA. With how the last book ends, we may see some of the characters show up on a planet that the Ghost crew frequents (not Lothal) but as of now we don't know for sure.

Anakin was an oddity because he had a lot of personal belongings in his quarters. You actually see this in TCW.

An odd fact.

Since the OT movies used a huge amount of extras and crowd shots they used a lot of costumes and paraphernalia that was available at the British studios where they shot most of the footage. As a result there was some reuse which means you can spot some things from other movies and TV shows.

The spacesuit worn by Bossk which has become his iconic outfit was originally made for the BBC Dr Who serial "the Wheel In Space" which aired in 1968. It was worn by the Doctor's female companion Zoe.

A few of the cantina masks were re-used from other stuff, along with custom made stuff by Rick Baker and others. I think most of the stock masks ended up just being in the background in the finished movie with the custom-made stuff from reshoots usually being highlighted.

Yeah, I think Lucas basically disliked how "generic" the off the rack masks looked. You can still see many of them in the final cut, even the special edition, even if they replaced the wolfman (Lak Sivrak) with a horrible CGI elephant. Some of the other off the rack masks were a fly's head (based on the 50's The Fly movie), a Frankenstein monster mask, a skull mask, a guy with a big brain and several others.

Also the Bossk spacesuit and several others like it, which were probably bought by Lucasfilm from the BBC to use are in the cantina, but hard to spot for the most part.

Shouldn't surprise anyone. He's still a combat novice and he was recently trained to shoot at a moving target. You'll notice he was standing still as he trained to do. He was so busy aiming and shooting, trying to hit the target, that he was ignoring the immediate threat.

I'm hoping Lost Stars inspires more works that shows the Imperials in a more sympathic light. The Imperials were men and women who thought what they were doing was right, not knowing they were working for a Sith Lord. Until Alderaan, the Empire never really did anything publicly wrong. They weren't Evil United™, even Dave seems to miss this.

As an Imperialfag that loves talking about the Empire, everything you just said is wrong. They subjugated millions through fear and the threat of force, they were bullies, now some of them were ok but saying "I was only doing what I was ordered to do" is no excuse for their behavior. Some weren't on the level as Tarkin or other Moffs and were nice people, but they did bring misery to many. The Empire as a whole did a lot of fucked up things before the Death Star turned Alderaan into an asteroid field.

We don't see much civilization outside the capital city, and the citizens are just easily-kickable farmers. Watched the movies in chronological. I'd rate them 6 > 5 > 3 > 4 > 2 > 1 Then watched the clone wars. reading/read all the comics so far except lando (I'm sure I'll read it eventually). 19. As a kid I was never really into it. Around 17, early 18 is when I became fascinated with it but didn't bother because the EU and really not having an obligation to watch them. As said, once I saw the canon getting restarted was when I finally gave in.

The general idea of the plot of Aftermath covers the end of Lost Stars, yes, but Uprising is only given a mention in one sentence in LS. It does get a whole interlude in Aftermath, though.

But understand that you are a very curious case. The EU existing has not stopped 99 percent of Star Wars fans from being Star Wars fans.

Most Star Wars fans never pick up a comic book in their lives. Some would even say "I thought they stopped making comics when Superman died". An actual thing I heard a person say.

No one sees that there are comics and novels beyond a film series and it makes them say "no thank you" to said movie.

Yea I understand I am a very specific case. Like I said, as a kid I just had no real interest and it wasn't until I was a bit older when I was intimidated. This was all coming out of a huge Metroid lore obsession. I knew how obsessed with Star Wars EU I would be considering how into it I was with Metroid.
