FTL fights are impractical

Consider the following

Information cannot travel ftl
So even if you can move ftl, you still have no way to detect an ftl force incoming, no matter how fast you think or percieve. It's not a matter of perceptive abilities, it's the information (visual, auditory, olfactive, ki, any kind of information) that is lagging behind the ftl punch thrown at you. You can only sense the attack coming after it landed.
The oppisite is impossible.
You can still dodge if you guess the direction of the attack but never on reaction

It follows that if an attack is dodged on reaction it was never actually ftl no matter what the canon says.
