>>77075820Of course, how the hell else am I going to get paid? Ads? okay, that's some. But if I have the hottest new webcomic, then I'm going to want to spend all my time working on it to still improve it rather than it being stagnant and having my job get in the way.
Some people seem to get buttmad that people get paid on Patreon for making webcomics, youtube videos, making games, etc. But there's nothing to be mad about unless you're jealous someone gets paid for doing something they like while you don't. Time= money, so most of the time you spend must have to do with getting paid, otherwise you're going to go fucking homeless. If you have a "normal" job while making a webcomic for free, your comic is going to suffer.
It's like some people nowadays WANT their art creators to be homeless and starving.
