>>76987092Pros:
+Makes you smile a lot with its cheery/dorky atmosphere, with the laugh on occasion. If you've seen Bojack Horseman or Rick and Morty think about how it makes you laugh a lot but only smile when the occasion is right since neither of those shows are exactly programs you smile at too often. Think of it like the opposite.
+Even the worst episodes have at least one joke that ranges from good to really good
+One of those concepts that make you think "Wow this show could go just about literally anywhere", which is surprisingly a little rare when it comes to media overall
+Cast is pretty likable in general
+Toffee is shaping up to be a real GOAT villain if he hasn't already hit that mark for some people. A few people are actually watching the show mostly just for him.
+Lore is beginning to shape
+Animation's pretty good
+Shipping aside as you said, Star and Marco are IMO one of the cooler dynamic duos I've seen happen in a while
+Everyone seems to just about think Star is a great protagonist even if you had to pick a single reason such as the way her personality is executed
+Episodes are quick so easier to take that way
Cons:
-First half is kind of hard to sit through because it's fairly obnoxious. How this show is depends a fair amount on your tolerance to see where things go
-Artstyle remains the same and animation change is hard to notice but people have picked up on it happening and it's slightly lesser
-Fanbase isn't SU tier but the people posting on /sveg/ are a little too much
even though I can't leave yet want to. Seriously guys stop moping.-Pacing of events could be better
The reception is incredibly mixed. I thought even with how cringey it could be at times that it was pretty easy to sit through. I marathoned the whole thing without even planning to do so as soon as I started actually. Might just have been a spur of the moment thing but I don't marathon often so you might as well bother to check it out with an open mind.
