Well, Carol is kind of a nicer and more lovable mean girl and that’s why she’s great
She sometimes feels like a combination of Janna, Sasha, and Zee

But I think the difference here is that Carol actually treats her friends well and genuinely helps them accomplish things. She just likes being in charge

The short story is that Stella is a half gold cyborg tomboy whose Alien dad sacrificed himself to repair her after a botched assassination attempt resulted in a hole getting punched in her chest. Granting her powers like a combination between generator Rex, and the Midas touch. I’ll post the full in a minute

I agree that genetically engineered bf is great, but edgelords are very rarely done well. I can understand him having a fear or hatred of authority due to being treated to a needle buffet as a youth, but I'll bet docility was considered a factor and the fact that he ran instead of killed his captors suggests that he's a hint cowardly or too noble to hurt even his abusive 'parents'.
The way I would do an 'edgelord' is as someone who has never been able to rely on someone other than himself, so he doesn't. Less of a brooding gunslinger and more like a stray cat. The classic 'bad boy' every girl seems to drop their panties for, that being the self-sufficient artist type who doesn't actually hurt people but could if she needed him to. He could be her go to for doing car break-ins, lying low temporarily, or acquiring things good citizens shouldn't have a hold on, while she could give him three hots and a cot.

Being a former Mercury actually plays into his desire for immortality a lot, and you could play the contrast between Red and a 'younger' Mercury, the latter of which wants Gold for the reason that he has holes in his memories due to being liquid. A youth constantly on the verge of identity death, versus an old warmonger looking to make himself immortal now that he has a solid-ish identity. Having Red reveal his true nature by absorbing or destroying the new Mercury would drive the point home as to how desperate he actually is.

You know, I've been thinking about how the concept of Stella having a Generator Rex arsenal didn't quite mesh with the established canon of MM being physical, since it would mean they'd have a very limited capability to transform, but I think I've found a workaround: in these threads, it was suggested multiple times that, while Gem tech and abilities appear as if it's mahou shoujo-like magic, it would make sense to have the same thing going with MM and alchemy. One of the main concepts in alchemy is transmutation with the most famous example, chrysopoeia, being the process of turning base metals into gold.
Stella's ability to mend living flesh was already established with kintsugi.
So, what if Stella discovered the ability to turn her biological flesh into metal is vice versa in the aftermath of losing her arm and that it allowes her to reconfigure her body?
It would not only explain this moment, but also make her more powerful BECAUSE of her human half instead of in spite of ot.

I disagree slightly. I feel like Stella Starlight works best when we fully embrace the rule of cool and focus equally on the human and metal aspects then we workshop the idea to fit it into the lore
For example I’ve loved these past couple threads for the metal gear esque stuff on the human side if things because it gives both the metal and human sides more agency and transforms the military base from a bunch of faceless soldiers to genuinely entertaining characters
Idk if anyone else agrees, but to me the bread and butter of a story is the character interactions. Hence why I want Stella to have more characters to interact with. Complex dynamic webs are just fun for me

I actually also really liked the idea from earlier of Carol collecting various high school stereotypes like Pokémon and not just because it implies their moms are similar to poke-moms because of the opportunity it gives for Stella to have more supportive friends
I kinda really wanna develop either the military base or the girls from the “Stella’s first squad interaction” story earlier in this thread. I just crave more character interactions so that I can write them

Well he never got his arm from Gold, he got them from Silver.
The idea is that Silver was put on life support after a battle with Gold and before he dies he attempts to find a successor to give his heart to like how Gold gave Stella his heart.
Conrad was chosen not just because he's compatible but also for his envy and hatred towards Stella.
It's a situation where a guy who hates the Gold family gives his power to another who hates the Gold family. Like how Venom is a guy who hates Spiderman gives his powers to another who hates Spiderman.

Plus, the Lucky Kitty is established to be a completely SFW location where people can just unwind and enjoy a nice snack surrounded by cats and catgirl maids. It probably has quite a few couches, good food, and nice music so it could easily become a spot for Stella to relax and unwind after a mission as well as make some extra cash

He really doesn't have that much of an official design yet.
Although i gotta share ideas i had for his design.
He has phocomelia so he's missing his left arm. Other than that he looks like a normal guy.
He gets his glasses later on after an encounter with Stella accidentally causing damage to his eyes so now he needs glasses. It makes him look like a total nerd, he knows it makes him look like a total nerd, and he hates it.
Once he gets his silver he gets a silver left arm and his glasses gets replaced by more cool looking specs to help him see and that are attached to his head so they won't fall off his hair also turns silver color and gets more messy. Despite now looking like a demented and twisted version of who he was he greatly prefers his new look.

Since the way one 'kills' a metal man is to spill out his core, piercing weapons would probably be the best to use against them. It's easier said than done though, I would bet that some of the higher-ups have trained against them for that very reason

As an aspiring creator i have created lots of stories and scripts yet i want to know just how good i am and how good i can be.
This really is a good way for me to learn and work on my skills, prove myself and have fun with doing what i love most.

Yeah that could be a pretty crazy arc the Prophet (would still prefer a name like father “something”) would invite Stella to his main base as less of a religious group and more of a community of cyborgs seeking betterment. There they would all use the specific love bomb tactics of making Stella feel like she has a community that understands her for the first time

By the way, one character idea I also really liked were the three members of the cheer squad mentioned earlier, Melody, Morgan, and Lyra since I liked the combo between cheerleaders and a mellow tomboy and goth or punk for Stella to interact with as more friends though I’m not sure if Morgan is a perfect name
I specifically could imagine designs for two with Melody looking a bit like Wendy from Gravity Falls with either red or blonde hair, and Lyra looking a bit like a sheep in human form with kind of curly hair that’s either white or black

Wanna know what would be really sad? What if most of the cult is made up of somewhat desperate people who the Prophet saved or otherwise healed. People with degenerative diseases, heart conditions, blindness, amputees, all grateful for his enhancements. Heck even some people from car and factory accidents and shootings who he saved from the brink of death by turning them into cyborgs
None of them are entirely on board with his plan, but a combination of his gaslighting and the mental components of the nanobots force then forwards. Eventually they’re stopped when Chrome finds a cure for the mental programming that comes with he nanites, with Stella convincing him not to remove people’s powers and enhancements as well so that they can continue to be special or avoid death even without the prophet’s help
Also I don’t think people would really follow someone literally calling himself the prophet. Maybe his actual name is something like Father Oz and the people just gave him that nickname

Carol's mom is already an opposite of Priyanka in some ways. Priyanka is very strict to Connie while Carol's mom is neglectful to her instead. she should have a high paying job though. if i remember correctly Carol's family is somewhat rich so I think she is on the upper-middle class to lower-upper class of people. i don't see her being evil though. she is neglectful but causing harm feels too far. unless she works on a bank. everyone is harmed by banks.

Personally as far as I understand it, Stella’s story begins with the accident and subsequent timeskip to the start of her high school career and ends with her confronting the Hollow Midnight, god of all shadows, and sending the shadows home in a scene very reminiscent of the finale of Promare

There was an idea for slimes a while back but we mostly forgot and the metals were created by snake people
There was also one autist who tried to push a tyranid expy that everyone hated and then he went away
Right now the general option seems to be that other aliens exist but they aren’t plot relevant at this point
Also there are the energy being shadows

Personally I actually came up with what I think is a cool system to ensure that only fitting aliens are created in the future. Basically every species provides something to the metal empire or a metal kingdom in exchange for protection, and once we decide what that resource is, then we world build them

Nugget is basically a derpy miniature version of GOLD who he keeps around as a minion and sycophant
The lion form was an earlier suggested firm where Stella turns fully gold and gains sun themed armor and also gains lion ears and claws with her hair becoming much fluffier
Carol is Stella’s slightly mean girlish BFF and a popular cheerleader pictured here >>130165034 and in pic related. Personally I prefer the design of the blue uniform with a red stripe
And Carol’s mom we don’t know much about beyond her being a rich probably blonde milf who emotionally neglects Carol. But I thought the concept was hot
