I’ve been buying up some of Greg Rucka’s DC books including Checkmate and I see that he wrote Detective Comics for a good few years and introduced Sasha Bordeaux then wrote her out as well. Are the New Gotham books by Rucka and Brubaker plus the Fugitive/Murder books good, and are they worth buying on their own or do you need to have read No Man’s Land before to really enjoy them?
