>>128207049>What the FUCK happened to the sheep BFF?He got written out, most likely to make room for the new, more exciting characters... Judging by the concept art, I guess he originally wasn't even meant to be Buster's friend, just some rich rando.
The in-universe explanation would probably be that he's no longer a NEET (see:
>>128209029 ) so he has no time to follow Buster around anymore. They probably weren't spending that much time together to begin with, Moon always seemed like a very busy guy, Eddie wasn't that interested in Moon's job, and the Moon crew left to Redshore City on a very short notice, so I suppose it makes an amount of sense that he's not in the movie, but I would rather they kept him around as a sound guy or whatever or at least gave him a cameo somewhere.
>Was Moon just using him to get to his wealthier grandmother?Yes and no. Moon did borrow a bunch of money from Eddie's parents and planned to do the same with his nana, he put him in a lot of awkward situations, so he's not exactly a good friend, but I don't think money is the only reason why he hangs out with Eddie.
Eddie is probably Moon's only friend outside of work and it's implied that they go way back, he's in the picture from the opening of the Moon theater and I think it's also implied that they went to college together. When Moon visited Eddie in his pool house it didn't seem like he had any ulterior motives, and he looked really happy when Eddie offered to help with washing the cars, and he still has a bunch of pictures of Eddie at his new place, I think he just genuinely enjoys his company. He enjoys teasing him too, Moon is a bit of a troll, so he probably finds Eddie's jumpiness amusing.
