Of course I'd prefer full frame-by-frame hand-drawn animation but let's not pretend the original Animaniacs had better animation just because they dodn't use computer tweening. I didn't check every single shot of the new Animaniacs but in general it doesn't use computer tweening a lot.
>your idea that the expressions are betterWell, if you feel like it, collect all the held expressions from, say, three episodes of the first show and all the held expressions from three episodes of the new show and do a collage of both and see which expressions are more... expressive. Then again if you're OP and you geniunely think the smiles on the left [huge-upper-lip lower-lip-chin, cheeks barely connected to the noses or teeth or chin] are better than the smiles on the right [everything's connected more or less, the noses have depth, the chin exists and is not just the lower lip, the upper lip is mostly in place inder the nose and not a cutout paper plate, the teeth connect to some sort of jaw, etc] then there's really nothing I can show you that can convince you.
Not only is the right side more expressive, it's also better drawn.
Again, that doesnn't mean it's a better show, only that it's a better-drawn show.
