whether we like it or not, theres a certain societal pressure to remain true to your side. if youre all conservative, you feel odd when u gotta admit you support queer people. if youre all liberal, you dont like telling people you support corporations.
autists dont get those kinda subtle social ques, so they tend to either just blurt out their opinions regardless of affiliation like we all want to, and dont even realize the sides exist. or they OVERLY connect to affiliation and struggle to see past black n white mentality, so they assume youre either with 'us' or with 'them', and are baffled by people who dont share EVERY opinion their side has
thats usually the kinda people who make those weird and seemingly unrelated posts like "oh you hate abortions? well GAY COUPLES dont get abortions! gotcha!"
it may seem random as all hell to you or me, but in their mind, everyone who hates gays and abortions is one and the same. the Venn diagram is a circle.
