Oh yeah, the Dark Rey scene was such a weird one, it added absolutely nothing to the plot. I keep forgetting about it, cause the rest of the movie was so much dumber.
I guess you and I approach films differently. I don't want to beat bad films, I want to dissect them. Even Rise of Skywalker, I don't want to just laugh at it, I want to do an autopsy- see what went wrong where. I'm so annoyed by all the massive hyperbole and refusal to acknowledge any not-bad things in the sequels, cause it means I can't do a diagnosis as to what went wrong.
Anon, you can't deny there isn't an outrage industry on the internet broadly, and about Star Wars specifically.
Anon be honest that's a nitpick. The films are filled with scenes like that. Maybe not all the fight-scenes, but filmmakers goof- Star Wars has a bunch of rather famous goofs. That's not an issue with Rey being overpowered, that's an issue of a choreographer of a cgi guy making a mistake. Besides, I actually love that fight-scene, fight me.

That was her realizing once she had a moment to think (not caught up in anger) that Leia had died and that's why Kylo Ren hesitated (cause you know, jedi feel that shit in the force). Honestly one of the less shit parts of that movie.
Anyway I still don't get the objection.
