>>125824188Just watched the first four episodes today and I have quite the fun. Here's some features I enjoyed:
- Despite Duncan, Teela, and Cringer being their own characters rather than being similar to their original counterparts, they all bring unique shades to their characters: Cringer and Duncan having swapped their roles of "being the wise" and "being the confused/awkward" gave them more balance to their characters (the interaction between the two was short but enjoyable); also this Teela having the mage role and finally using magic which was teased for almost 40 years is rewarding, and frees the Sorceress from being a support mage while letting her focus more on the "prophet" role.
- Adam and Krass are my second favorite pair and I hope to watch more of them. I feel like this Adam's backstory is similar to Adora's backstory: kidnapped at young age, no connection to his past, suddenly magic/techno sword shows up and kicks the plot. But at least we might have the family reunion that was denied in She-Ra. Also I like that this Adam decides to share "the power" this time like Shazam did.
Loved that he has freckles, so cute. My only complain with Krass is her pink glowing helmet that sores my eyes, other than that I enjoyed her character: she's more the "Teela" role that Teela herself, she has a the best power up costume, and has an interesting backstory.
- Evilynn and Trapjaw are the best duo and definitely a welcome surprise. From their original roles as wizard and man-at-arms to the king before their exile, their balanced contrast in every regard (magic/technology, personality, body language, and physical appearance) and yet they still remain a formidable duo that even Keldor was surprised that they didn't married each other yet.
- I still haven't saw much of this Skeletor but Keldor going insane offer the "Havok" element seems more promising than the role of "usurper uncle who demands power" we got.
