I loved the movie, but wait, why is she uppity on killing kids when she helped kill robin ? ( This Is mentioned prominently in SS 1)

I was able to buy the save the kids plot from rick flag since hes actually a heroic soldier (peacemaker fight and scene was gold)
Plus she was intending on killing the president eventually...right? It's kinda weird she seemed to wanna marry him and only killed him after his edginess was revealed (granted she may be trying to avoid dating another joker)
