I feel like it would've been so much better if Rebecca Sugar wrote Ruby's and Sapphire's relationship as being abusive, with Sapphire being the dominant one who enjoys tormenting Ruby for her own enjoyment and getting her in situations she doesn't want to be in for the sake of her perverted wishes.
Maybe give her sharp teeth to fit her predatory nature.
