>>124848143>Episode 5 wan't just about her crush on Luz, it was also about standing up to her mother who was not only giving the shaft to Luz but to her other friends toothat was episode 2, and Amity does not care about the other two. Notice how she NEVER hangs out with them outside of Luz. And her standing up to her mother is barely a theme considering she rarely appears in that episode until the end (despite it being about her) and even when she does it is quick and she pays more attention to Luz than whatever her mother has to say.
>And that fits into a broader theme of her reevaluating who is is and what she wants out of life.Except this leads nowhere because other than Luz, she shows no interest in who she wants to be or what she wants in her future. Think about it, besides being with Luz, what goals does she have? Goals that are her own and exist outside of Luz.

>seeing as we still see her working at the library (officially now, even), working with kidsWhich she then goes against for Luz so its not even that much, and we only get one tiny scene with her for kids, which again, just means shes "nice" and thats it.
>and is still a dynamo at abomination magic.I dont care about powers, she can be the strongest witch in the isles for all I care, she needs to have an actual character.
>we now have to added spice of her relationship with her parents and her burgeoning rebellion against them.Ah yes, that thing that happened in episode 2 and she got over quick, and something she disregards for the sake of what Luz thinks
