You must mean what went down with Mario RPG. Yeah Nintendo really should have told Square back in the day "Listen Square you are NOT walking out of this building owner MARIO characters. They're from the Mario universe they are ours. Accept the terms or there's the door." Really it's not like Square Enix can ever use any of those original characters freely. In a weird way Disney is Square's karma because you never try to steal from the mouse.

I'm more impressed by the originally non warrior characters like Belle. I mean Merida looks great but it was expected to see her like that. Belle as a wizard or Rapunzel in armor is much more interesting.

Why? Currently mobile games are way better than PC and even console games. At least mobile games work. At least mobile games are upfront with their cash store, but also don't require you to pay anything. I'd rather play with that than day one patches followed by endless patches that don't fix anything, and endless DLC where you have to pay to play.
Hell, mobile games have working multiplayer, and that's more than other games have.

Even in the dog water Triple-A space, there are still games that don't do anything like that and are fun on their own. That only makes sense if maybe you don't have much time to invest in playing / researching non-mobile games. Otherwise, you just have to look to find what you want.

I sincerely hope you're joking. Most mobile games are barely games. They practically play themselves and then charge you to gradually increase the rate at which they play themselves. I expect Mirrorverse to be much of the same. Also, I think your take on PC and console games is extremely reductive. There are glaring issues in the industry, but I think we also live in a time of unprecedented productivity and quality -- you just have to be willing to look for it instead of settling for whatever the larger companies put out and then declaring that to be the end-all.

I know Ariel has experience killing thanks to KH1 Atlantica, but seeing her with the shattered remains of the trident makes me think something bad happened to King Triton, maybe Ursula killed him in their universe. But she also has a crown implying she's queen, unless Disney forgot about her 6 older sisters that means they probably died as well. That's potential for a messed up origin for Mirrorverse Ariel.

It's called Mirrorverse because the plot revolves around a magic mirror (not the one from Snow White) that can see and take you to other universes. Alternate Mickey is trying to stop the darkness from consuming the multiverse and summons alternate versions of Disney/Pixar characters to fight against the darkness and defend the mirror. Not sure if the darkness is involved in changing the stories of these Disney characters who become badass in the process and want revenge against it or if Mickey chose these versions because they were capable of combat, it'll be interesting to see.

KH has its own level of weirdness of its own, it's just not the Disney stuff. Also, I assume its because this is a property Disney can control 100% while KH is also from Square, and they dont want to give creative freedom of their products to a company they dont own.

Yeah I could understand that but at the same time they allow pic related. The frozen stuff especially since apparently they gave a lot of trouble to do different things from the movie.

Disney is so hypocritical when it comes to their bias against crossovers. They think it will hurt their brand, yet they use it in Wreck it Ralph 2 and mobile games with the excuse that it's not the real ones. Well KH isn't the real ones either, just alternate versions of them, but they had Square at gunpoint when they wanted to make Elsa fall to darkness in KH3. Not to mention the scrapped idea of building an army of Disney heroes and storming Hollow Bastion in KH1, I want Disney Ultimate Alliance god damnit.
