I been following Gunn for awhile and every time he posts those Silver Age Superman covers goes on a weird rant about why he's mean. At first I thought he was just joking but this is the fourth time he does it and acts like the character is still written like that. It's weird

i think it's a sort of joke, taking the Luthor perspective and Superdickery into account, like he's a fan of humans doing extraordinary things, or underdogs, not the alien boy scout.

So what's the most likely scenario to happen in this movie?
- A flashback of Superman being shot with an appearance by Henry Cavill?
- A flashback of Superman being shot but we never see his face?
- Just a reference like "Oh yeah I shot Superman with kryptonite but he's okay now"?
