Trying to retrieve the box from the hand of someone like Andrias would definitely be a impossible feat, so this would be a smart course of actions to take, especially when the pink frog was Andrias' closed companion. With that being said, this doesn't explain why Valeriana didn't become possessive when the box was presented to her and made no attempt to take it back, if she was really looking forward for its return. Although I can explain it away by speculating that Valeriana was just abiding by the prophecy and it was her duty to guard the box (and by extension, the gems as well) until the rightful heir to its power arrive (which are the girls). When Anne passed her trials, Valeriana was convinced that she and her friends are the prophesied heroines and entrusted the box to them.

Despite the rush barely anything suffered in my opinion. Everything got done and no story beats were cut it just moved fast. The only thing I wish is that Marcy’s breakdown got more time to breathe before they just glossed over it because that’s probably my favorite scene in the entire show and maybe any show in the past couple years

You know, I do wonder if a part of the maddie/marcy episode was to make people speculate if it would tie into marcy getting stabbed? Well, before it got delayed and all that.

Beyond anything, I do think it was meant to put the note of "Marcy was learning about resurrection potions" right before she seemingly got "killed". Make the audience connect the two dots of "marcy" and "coming back to life" 4 episodes before true colors.

I'm honestly curious of Yunan and Marcy's possible relationship if she ever met Yunan in her time.I feel if they did talk Marcy would have been admiring Yunan and even complementing her over the titles and even talking about how she sounds like a super cool protag for her games or anime. I would kinda make something like that the opening of season 3. Anne has a nightmare of what happened in amphibia, only to wake up in her bed and is happy because she thinks it means everything that happened was just a dream.

We have Grime, Hop pop, Frogbo, Wartwoodians, Several Toads. We have a fair number of male characters, besides that only Maggie really matters when it comes to Anne's school(there were two other characters: the guitar guy and the girl with a spiked head band but Maggie out ranks them imo); the way you tried to write up his story was Darrel level writing man, he sounds like Darrel(kinda looks like him in a few ways the more I look at em too). I'd say leave the cool stuff to the female cast cause it is a rocking female cast currently with some nice male supporting cast.

She only ever drew the human girls, so basic assumptions from the threads(earlier) was projection/safespace, escapism, or just getting hooked on the wrong show entirely since she seems to not have exactly cared for the plot building in any story heavy episodes. She seems to have wanted the old style of full good and full bad with no inbewteen and considers having characters that boarder in the middle 'too cruel' and an abuse of freedom under the guise of morality. As far as I can tell not even tumblr actually agrees with her but people are either comforting her or trying to gently let her down essentially since she kind has sad several times that she's not gonna change her views ever

slight correction, after skimming the gallery she has drawn Maddie a few times and Grime once but these were exclusive with the girls, she rarely ever drew the amphibians solo(only a few in the archive that feature any thing that was the 3 girls, there were some sketches of Sprig, Ivy, and Maddie though)

I think in some previous posts she shows to have a real problem with forgiveness unless they really fucking earn it. She seems to be afraid that the show will forgive Marcy for her mistakes even if she hasn't earned it. Probably stems from real life issues she's had.

being honest when it comes to fanfic stuff, they/them doesn't work if more than one character is in focus for scenes most of the time since the 'they' can indeed be confusing even in the proper context. It's simpler to just use more specific and singular pronouns when writing stuff that focuses on two or more people. hence why I'm making my own choice to 'enhance' my reading experience by changing 1 set of pronouns

Well, you could, like that xer thing people are trying to push, but etymologically, they as a singular pronoun predates pretty much everything else. Now the thing here really is that "they" is used when the gender is unknown, not because the gender is non-existent. Things with no genders, or objects in general, just use "it", but people take issue with that.

they're technically are but past the main used and comply accepted 3 types(He/him, She/her, They/them) no one likes to branch past those to the stranger stuff like shi/hir , or any of the other more outlandish ones. But....she was a steven universe fan. Steven Universe is the #1 cartoon about forgiving people who don't earn it. Why is that show okay but Amphibia isn't despite the characters from Amphibia not being nearly as bad as the "redeemed" villains from SU?
Marcy also helped against the robots, saved Sprig, opened the portal and died for the Plantars. That alone is more than what Spinel, the diamonds and lapis lazuli ever did, hell more than what Pearl did with some of her victims, and she loves pearl a lot. So what the fuck is up with these selective opinions?
