That wasn't quite my take away.
I took away that people who don't practice what they preach and believe are crap, and fundamentalist who honestly have never read the Bible are crap.
There are millions of people who claim to be Christian who have never really read the Bible.
Millions whose "Biblical knowlege" and "faith" come from going to Church and "listening" to a preacher read 5 lines a week from the Bible, then go on for 50 minutes about a story they heard involving faith. People who went to Sunday school and read a verse then played a Bible cross-word for 30 minutes.
They're are millions of Christians who have never read at least Matthew through Acts, but think they know exactly what Jesus would Do.
Millions whose faith and knowledge come from "religious" movies like "The 10 Commandments", "They Greatest Story Ever Told", a Christmas movie about the birth of Jesus.
These same people know the Seven Deadly Sins, but think they're in the Bible as "The Seven Deadly Sins" like the 10 commandment.
And most of these people, who have not read the Bible think, "The Bible says God wants us to be happy and do what we want, so long as we're nice to people and accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior".
Thats what I think Morel Orel was more about.
Not fuck religion, not fuck Christianity.
More fuck dumb people who hide behind Christianity, especially those who know nothing about it.
I mean didn't the end credit say that his dad was a faithful man who raised them right?
And with that long greek name, I'm sure they were raised Greek Orthodox.
