It really feels like Thanos snapped the passion out of the MCU rather than snapping half the population away.
Half the new characters are characters "From the comics" that were only made after Disney bought them. They might as well stop calling them Marvel movies. They're Disney movies about Disney characters and Disney decisions. It's not any more "Accurate to the comics" because some underpaid writer no one cares about was told to put it in a comic book two years before the movie came out.
Another example would be Bucky being Captain America multiple times in the decades leading up to his own show, but then they made Sam Captain America. We all know it's because he's black, but they pulled the "Just being accurate to the comics" card as if Disney didn't obviously tell Marvel to make a black Captain America six years ago so they could pretend this isn't just a movies only decision.
I just can't believe people keep falling for it. It's so blatant. These characters have existed for more than fifty years, but 90% of what Disney bases their movies on is the stuff that was made after they bought the characters. How do you still think they're Marvel movies?
