>>122816879>Also, name recognition. Ben Schwartz is a funny & popular actor, & he probably got his job through Hollywood connections. That is also the main reason why Ducktales 2017 failed. Because of hiring too many famous Hollywood personalities and adding too many characters, and those actors again don't know how to act those characters as well as they did with voice actors.
They still have to get paid, which costs a lot of Disney’s budget and one of the reasons Ducktales didn’t get a fourth season. A huge difference. I mean, you just have to look at what they did with Donald Duck in DT17.
Again, there are some actors who enjoyed those characters, only these characters are poorly written.
For that voice actors of Donald's nephews, DT17 is a complete failure and it is an example of how not to work. If these nephews were 15 years old, I might have an understanding that grown men play them, but playing someone who is 10 years old, and at the same time sounding adult, is derogatory to me. Maybe Ben plays Sonic well, but he plays Dewey desperately.
Imagine that an adult man, aged 50, plays Charlie Brown, and Brown is still a boy, but it sounds like he is 50 years old? How would that sound to you? Well, I have the same experience with Donald's nephews in Ducktales 2017.
>Who, due to puberty, would have to be continuously replaced by other young boys over time, making it jarring when marathoning the series. Look at what happened to Gumball. It wouldn't be a problem if that writers wrote that story well, then hired actors, reshaped that story a bit to suit everyone and that series would go its own way. If it lasted from two to three years and there weren't a lot of episodes, it wouldn't be a problem, but it would be noticed that the boys are in puberty and they would finish on time.
