The time in Amphibia has genuinely been a positive life-changing experience for the better, at least for Anne if not all the girls. She's become such a good and strong person in ways she never would have in her old life, that really she owes her positive future all to Marcy instead of what likely would have been a negative future.
Absolutely, Marcy's reasons for it all were bad. But the degree of positivity of the end results, by *far* justify the means. Maybe Anne should not be thanking Marcy, but she certainly should not be condemning her.
