You people really just don't get it, do you?

It's not about SJWs. It's not about normies. It's not about tourists to the hobby. It's not even about the degradation of the rules or systems... It really just boils down to this: Two decades ago, if you said that you played D&D or like comic books, *EVERYONE* would call you a faggot and try to inflict physical or emotional harm. And I don't mean the watered down 4chan use of the word faggot. If they could get away with it, they'd wrap a noose around your neck and hang you in town square for all to see, just for being different. For being a "weirdo".
Now, that's not enough. That's not the worst part. The worst part is, that now those same people that would have ruined your life for your hobbies and interests are the people playing the games. Two decades ago, the blonde haired, blue eyed, prom queen Stacy McHooters would have absolutely lambasted you for being some kind of geeky retard. But now, all of that's still true, except she does it while wearing thick rimmed glasses and a Marvel T-Shirt at the game table.
